Q When are new admissions accepted to the school?

Q My child is 1 year old, but can't walk yet. Can they enter the school?

1 year old children may enter the school only when they are able to walk independently.

Q My child is a beginner in English. Can they still enjoy lessons at the school?

At FLIST we pay careful attention to ensure that all children can enjoy learning regardless of their current ability level. We specifically tailor and differentiate our learning materials so that each child can learn at their own pace with resources that match their current ability. We also keep class sizes small so that all students can receive the individualized attention that they need to learn, grow, and feel comfortable. Lastly, we provide students with a variety of learning materials so that they can continue their learning development even outside of the school.

FLIST offers full service in both English and Japanese. All essential school communication and documentation are bilingual.

Q Are the lessons conducted in English?

All activities other than Japanese lessons will be conducted in English. Japanese lessons are provided once a day for 30 minutes for our Morning Sessions.

Q I am thinking of enrolling in an international school in the future. Is it possible to provide support such as preparing for entrance exams?

At FLIST we provide extensive support to both children and their parents to help to best prepare for successful admission to a school of your choice. We provide interview practice, assessment training, application support, and general knowledge on school application processes and the benefits of various types of schools.

Q If I take a break from the lesson, is it possible to transfer lessons?
- 如果缺课，可以补课吗？

As a general rule, you can transfer within one week even if you are suddenly ill or have a day off due to family reasons. Conditions vary depending on the program you are participating in, so please contact us for details.

Q Do you offer school lunch?

Only students who participate in the core program (5 days a week) can be offered a school lunch upon request. Please contact us for further details.

Q Do you have a school bus?

We are sorry, but we do not currently offer a school bus. When you come, please use public transportation, or use your own car, bicycle, or walk. There is no private parking, but you can use the adjacent coin parking. If you come by bicycle, please use the bicycle parking space at the entrance of our school.

Q Is there a period when the school is closed for a long time, such as Golden Week and New Year holidays?
